Item descriptionAbsolutely! In fact, many of our campers begin as some of our quietest students. At The Center Stage Studio, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to shine—but we never force children into the spotlight before they're ready. Our experienced staff gently encourages each camper at their own pace, celebrating every small success along the way.
Over the past 24+ years, we've watched countless shy children grow into confident performers, leaders, and lifelong friends. While not every child dreams of Broadway, every child can benefit from building confidence, learning to express themselves, and discovering they are capable of more than they ever imagined. Our greatest joy isn't creating stars—it's watching children leave believing in themselves.
-
Not at all! In fact, many of our campers are trying theatre, dance, comedy, or performing arts for the very first time. Our camps are designed for all experience levels—from beginners who simply want to have fun and make new friends to experienced performers looking to grow their skills.
Our instructors are experts at meeting each child where they are, offering encouragement, age-appropriate challenges, and plenty of opportunities to succeed. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to shine, and we work hard to create an environment where every camper feels included, supported, and proud of what they accomplish throughout the week.
Whether your child dreams of performing on stage or simply wants to build confidence, make friends, and try something new, they'll be welcomed with open arms. The only thing your child needs to bring is a willingness to have fun—we'll take care of the rest!

For over 24 years, The Center Stage Studio has been one of South Orange County's premier performing arts schools, but what truly sets us apart is our mission. We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Our goal isn't simply to produce a great performance—it's to help every student build confidence, make lifelong friendships, discover their unique gifts, and leave believing in themselves. We intentionally create an environment where every child has the opportunity to shine because we know the confidence they gain on our stage will stay with them long after the curtain closes.

Item deI actually think parents love seeing a schedule because it helps them picture their child's day. I'd keep it warm and flexible since every camp theme is a little different.
What Does a Typical Day at Camp Look Like?
No two days are exactly the same—that's part of the fun! While each camp has its own unique theme and activities, here's what a typical day at The Center Stage Studio looks like:
🕘 9:00 AM – Camp Kick-Off
We start each morning with energetic games, icebreakers, and team-building activities to help campers make new friends and feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.🎭 Morning Rehearsal
Campers begin working on their musical theatre production or themed performance while learning acting, singing, dancing, and stage skills in a fun, encouraging environment.🍎 Lunch Break
Time to relax, recharge, and enjoy lunch with friends.🎨 Afternoon Fun
After lunch, campers enjoy a variety of activities such as theater games, comedy improv, creative crafts, themed challenges, or team competitions before returning to rehearsal.🌟 Showtime Preparation
The afternoon continues with rehearsal as campers build confidence and prepare for Friday's performance.😂 End-of-Day Fun
We wrap up each day with a favorite comedy game, improv activity, or interactive theater game that sends everyone home smiling.🎉 Friday is Celebration Day!
Fridays are extra special at Center Stage! Campers enjoy a pizza party, celebrate an amazing week with their friends, and then take the stage for a performance where family and friends are invited to cheer them on. It's the perfect ending to a week filled with laughter, learning, creativity, and confidence.
Our goal is simple: we want every child to go home each day excited to come back tomorrow!

Our camp staff is carefully selected and trained to create a safe, encouraging, and engaging experience for every camper. Many of our counselors are current Center Stage musical theatre teachers or performers with extensive training and real-world performance experience. Even more special, many of our staff members grew up at The Center Stage Studio themselves. They understand our mission because they lived it as students and now enjoy passing that same encouragement and confidence on to the next generation.
We also have a Leadership Program for former campers who have demonstrated responsibility, kindness, and leadership. These students become Counselors-in-Training (CITs) and participate in a structured training program before assisting with camp. Every summer, all counselors and CITs—whether they're brand new or returning veterans—complete a staff training program where we introduce new teaching techniques, leadership skills, safety procedures, and activities to ensure we're always growing and improving.
Above all, we look for staff members who genuinely love working with children and believe in our mission of helping every child feel seen, valued, confident, and successful.
